Hope Lies in Dark Places

Alessandra Briarwood was thought to be a squib for her whole life. With both of her parents dead and no signs of showing any magical abilities she lives the life of a muggle with her aunt. It wasn't until her 4th year in a muggles public school that she begins to show late signs of her magical abilities with the addition of being able to see fragments of magic that was once lost some time ago. With the help from an old family friend, Eleazar Fig, a professor from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he helps prepare her in the summer to attend the school as a fifth year.

Having to catch up to a whole other world with extra school assignments and gain knowledge of magic is one thing, but being chosen as the savior who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the Wizarding World apart is something she would have never expect.
