Swimming was the closest thing I could compare to flying. My body felt light in the water. My arms were my wings and my feet propelled me further. I loved that feeling; the feeling of temporarily having superpowers. ..and I miss it just as much. Now, whenever more than half of my body is submerged in the waters of salty seas and transparent pools, I feel only fear.
