The Shadow World thought that doom would approach them as soon as they got word of the Mortal Cup's new owner; Valentine Morgenstern. This was because now, he could, in fact, create an army loyal only to himself. However, not all goes according to plan, when he raids a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and kidnaps a certain young woman by the name of Ethel Walters. That one action may just begin to change his luck for the worst.

In which Ethel Walters grows up as the daughter of a fantasy novel author, and greatly disbeliefs in the supernatural. That is until she's kidnapped by a Shadowhunter cult, which leads her down a path of truth unveiling. Here, she will discover new things about her past, venture into a tremendously dangerous present, and step into an uncertain future. All the while, she's supported by her new friends at the New York Institute, with one of them in particular catching her eye.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Shadowhunter TV show or book series. This is a fanfiction, and for that reason I will be using and changing things from the show and books. I only own my original ideas, characters, and changes to the existing plot/dialogue/characters.

Shadow Hunters are people that are half angel half mundane (human). They protect the human word from the demon world, downworlders. Kayla Wayland is Jace Wayland's younger sister. They grew up and was raised together with Alec and Isabelle Lightwood. Their parents took Kayla and Jace in like their own. They trained together, go on missions together, and did everything together. Kayla and Isabelle are parabatai, like Jace and Alec is. The four was best friends had a inseparable bond. Just like Jace was close to Alec, so was Kayla. Her and Alec was very close. She was the one person he opened up to, and showed a different side of him. As they grew older Kayla grew feelings for Alec, as did Alec. Soon they started dating and have been since. The four shadow hunters' daily life was the same, they went on a missions and killed demons. That was until Clary Fray came along. What will happen once she comes along and finds out that she is a shadow hunter herself like her mother and learns about the shadow world.
