I wrote this poem after the death of my mother in law, it was a very painful thing to see as she could barely breathe, she was unable to speak. After her passing, I felt inspired to write what I felt she would say to her children and grandchildren, who were her life. By sharing, I hope to bring some form of comfort to any who have lost.

Anyone can love someone who doing and saying all the right things, being everything you want and need, when they're got it all together and it all figured it out. But, to love someone at their lowest, to love someone despite how broken they feel, when they're lost, when you're willing to stand by them no matter how challenging or difficult things may be, that kind of love is a lot more beautiful. That kind of love is a lot more meaningful. Thank you for loving me both times when things are good and bad, up and down. A Year In Poetry

Good Mourning Poetry
In January 2020, I lost my father in a traumatic way as he passed while I was performing CPR. As a way to cope, I started to journal. My journal entries quickly turned to poetry, a form of writing that I had no experience in. Over time, my poems have evolved to be about more than my father. I'll start to share them in this book.
