This story may sound similar to the novel "The Darkest Minds" by Alexandra Bracken, but it is not fanfiction even if some parts and the storyline sound similar. Most of the plot and storyline are inspired by "The Darkest Minds". The pictures I used in the chapters are not my photos nor my art, they are from Pinterest.

Plot/Storyline: 
A 16-year-old Puerto Rican girl in Brooklyn, New York named Koco Diaz is entering her first year as a junior in high school. While in school she has to break through the struggles of her school life and figure out what she wants to do after high school while trying to find the motivation to fix her grades. She then has to struggle with her personal life being in the adoption care and being the oldest one in the center.  Koco runs away from every home she's ever been adopted to because she wants to make her own life and doesn't want parents or school. She wants to start her own adult life because she has already been an adult since DCF took her away from her family. Koco's parents gave her up because she has powers of telekinesis but later as the story continues she finds that she also has mind-reading powers and the government leaders are trying to kill her because it is dangerous and illegal to be born or develop 2 powers even though you can't control it. When the rest has only one power. People are scared of Koco and she is in hopes of making her own family with the friends that she meets on the way to finding a way to take down the government. The government is also trying to kill Koco's friends and eliminate everyone with powers. Will Koco and her friends succeed or will they fail? It's keep running or die.
