After a year abroad, Arcelia has finally settled into Manhattan. Cooking, cleaning and studying alone is no longer difficult for her in a foreign country, but she hasn't yet arrived emotionally in New York. The Traumas and experience from long past days still have a firm grip on her. 26-year-old Aresius has had to go through a lot in his life. It wasn't until he joined the army at the age of 20 that he learned how to deal with his problems. The hard days are now far behind and he has built a life for himself. It's not perfect, but he's making the best of it, until one night a girl asked him for a cigarette, calling him pet names that changes everything. Will Aresius be able to help Arcelia or will Arcelia drag him down with her? sneaky peek: "Ares," she whispered softly as I begin to fall asleep. "What?" I replied, already knowing that what she will say next will either be the most beautiful, profound and mind blowing poetic quote that would make even Shakespeare roll over in his grave in jealousy or...the other stuff. "What do you call a factory that makes okey products?" she asked, her whole body shaking as she tried to suppress her laughter, "a satisfactory" she replied to her own joke bursting into a fit of giggles and crying with laughter. ...so, it was the other stuff. "Go to sleep crazy woman" I grunted as I tried to suffocate her with a pillow.

She's the chaos. He's the steady one. Amy never planned on falling for Zahn; the quiet, disciplined boy who somehow became her unofficial babysitter. He wakes her up for classes, steals her junk food, nags about grades, and lectures her like a mom... yet somehow ends up being the only place she feels safe. She's lazy, reckless, dramatic, and far too spoiled, her favorite daily routine is pushing his buttons. He's grumpy, easily exasperated, always rolling his eyes... but secretly, a total softie. Together, they're messy, heartfelt, and inseparable, even when life (and their own mistakes) try to tear them apart. Because love isn't always soft edges and fairytales. It's laughter, heartbreak, healing... and holding on anyway. (Cover by @fuzziwrites)
