When Iceman's daughter comes back to visit her father after years away on a deployment in England. While there she meets a certain smartass, sexy smile pilot, none other than Jake Seresin.
After two years they get called back to TOP GUN. Along with 11 other people.

An Abrupt Change of Direction
Pete "Maverick" Mitchell has lost a lot over the years: his best friend, his wife, and the sudden risk of losing his career. After over thirty years of service as a top naval aviator, Maverick has found himself face-to-face with ghosts as he returns to TOPGUN to help train a new and upcoming group of graduates. He's always been the top pilot, so when this new trainer dismissed him, he had to prove her wrong. That is, until he makes a mistake that would change his life and Maddlyn's life forever. It soon became clear that the very mistake Maddlyn warned him he'd make came a lot sooner than he was prepared for.
