If anyone told Helios that one day, he'd have to survive an onslaught of attacks from the undead as well as eldritch creatures both made by mad scientists/came from a different plane of existence, he would've grabbed their head and slammed them on a wall Sadly, this is what his reality has become. When a so-called 'natural phenomenon' brings about a parasite known as Ulvas- plural:Ulvea-onto earth, undead beings nicknamed 'Corrode' by the government began to come to life. However messed up this seems, there is still hope for humanity. The disaster also brings forth the rise of 'Reapers'-not Hunters- who awakened to special powers due to their bodies accepting the presence of the parasite. These Reapers slash down Corrodes, giving them true freedom from the parasite and sending them to eternal rest.

Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than the cells responsible for constructing one's genetic code. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. Yet, despite humanity's best efforts to adapt to this new system- cities plummeted to the ground, nations were obliterated in chaotic arrays of fire, countries infected by the scourge of madness brought about by meaningless war. Humanity was driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to survive these conditions, humanity came up with something to protect them. Colonies. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...
