Aemma of House Tyrell had been looking for a husband to survive especially during the dance of dragons. As apart of one of the Great Houses, she had a duty to her house and herself. She did not want to be a wife. She just wanted to stay in Highgarden and live there in peace.

The Fire That Burns Within US - Aemond Targaryen
Like her mother, Princess Visenya Velaryon had grown closer with her uncle Aemond. The two children would often sneak away from their duties to play with the wooden swords Aemond had stolen for the Princess, or lay outside of the dragon pit watching as the creators of their house flew around, or sometimes they would sit in the gardens with the rest of the new generation of Velaryon and Targyern, sitting next to each other and often the of two children would lay their head on the others shoulder and drift to sleep grasping onto each other's hand. But as they grew up, the feelings they had for each other grew into something more, Aemond growing protective over Visenya and glaring at any lord or prince that would come her way at balls wanting a dance, wanting nothing more for his mother and father to agree to the Princess Rhaenyra proposal of marriage between the two. When the two were ripped apart from each other after a mishap about a claiming of a dragon and the loss of an eye, the two of them thought the other would forget about them. They would not be there to keep each other safe, and the fire they had burning within them would slowly be snuffed out. Dragon's Heir
Daemon and Rhaenyra's night at the pleasure house had consequences. Viserys disinherits Rhaenyra when she refuses to marry Laenor and gives Daemon an ultimatum. Rhaenyra is heartbroken to discover her uncle chose his place in the line of succession over her and their daughter. She leaves for Essos and establishes an empire while raising her daughter. Visenya Targaryen grows up away from Westeros but is very aware of her heritage and who she is. When things go badly she and her mother return to Westeros where she meets her uncle Aemond. Like mother, like daughter, but unlike Rhaenyra Visenya has no intention of losing the man she loves or her inheritance. This story will not follow the TV show or the book timeline. This is a love story where the dance of the dragons does not happen. In this story, Alicent married Viserys when Rhaenyra was 6 years old. Alicent, begins the search and it seems like a proposal in the dornish might be in mind, but things might not go as planed, as the dornish woman that seems to speak to his heart is not the one that was originally meant for him. Troupes in this story: (minor spoilers) Choosing between two women, between what is expected versus what love commands, themes of arranged marriage, slow romance. It's not just a sickfic/sick character study only, but it will have major moments and full chapters where Aemond will be taken care of, specially by the main female, and it's a crucial point in the story, so it fits the sickfick/whump category. Note: This fic is written inside HOTD world, using some information from the book Fire and Blood as well, but is doesn't follow the canon. In this universe Rhaenyra gave up her claim, and Aegon will be crowned king. The story centers more in the greens, specially Aemond, but it will explore original characters.
