Packing and repacking your car can be time-consuming. Many regular travellers advise loading non-essential items first can be a headache later on by the time you don't reach your final destination, it is advice that one should pack light and more essentials which can be used. 
For long road trips you always pack the luggage in such a way that you have properly separated your daily essential from your non essential.
