The Cattle

This book is based on the journey of 5 steers:

Frank, Stanley, Mike, Keith, and oh yeah Patrick. The story is told through the eyes of the cattle. The cattle believe that the humans are good and protectors of the cows. The humans protect them from the evil howlers and even feed them. Nobody ever had anything negative to say about the humans. That is until Willie, is brought back to the farm.

Willie used to be a normal steer like the rest of them. However, upon returning he is sick, shaking, drooling, and frail. But, what is most shocking is what he says he saw. Willie claims that people with giant metal hand are butchering cattle. Willie claims he saw them cut apart a cow, throw pieces in a fire, and then eat the flesh. He claims that people are evil and that they're actually raising all the cattle just to kill them. Willie ramblings of madness and tales of horror cause unease among the remaining steers. Willies blatant mutiny and odd behavior caused the humans to use the boom stick on him. All of the cattle think Willie is crazy, except for Stanley.

That is the reason for the child like drawings, is that it represents the innocence of the animals. The cattle, mostly believe that humans are like demigods that are sent by the sun to watch over and protect them...if they only knew what their true purpose is... None of them can believe what Willie said. Because if the humans wanted to kill them why would they feed them?

I am not vegan nor vegetarian but I try to limit my consumption of flesh. Plus veggies are yummy.

When they get to the slaughter house, its merely Auschwitz. I just changed the word Jew to cattle...the similarities are truly frightening.
