Princess Adelaide watched the sea raiders kill two-thirds of her family when she was only eight years old. Vowing they would never take anyone from her again, she poses as a man to lead her brother, the king's armies against their enemy. Tyne of Vyndoli has made a name for himself by taking vengeance on the sea raiders that have taken over his home. Having amassed some loyal followers of his own, Tyne accidentally stumbles into political upheaval when one of his missions turns up his country's disappeared princess.
