Amalthea has succeeded. She is no longer the last unicorn, and the red bull is vanquished. But she is the only unicorn that feels regret, and love. She remembers him, the man who became a hero for her. His name was Lir, and she left him when she became a unicorn again. But she notices her horn is crumbling, ever so slowly, and a mysterious butterfly from her past informs her that she must choose: she can either have those emotions ripped from her and her memory erased to stay a unicorn or return to Leir and become a human forever.
