 Though, his perfect life seems to go down hill.  
Himself and his family are in danger and are being threatened.  This is confirmed when three men in black break into the house and tries to kill Jacob.
During the attack, a fourth person comes into the house-also in black. To start with, Jacob assumes the fourth person is with the three men. 
Jacob assumes wrong. The person had a feminine build and didn't attack Jacob, she saved him.
