A scream. In front of the young colt was the mutilated bodies of his parents. A tall dark red figure stood over them laughing like a deranged maniac... A sadistic, malicious laugh that echoes through ice's ears. He was too young to understand, but his parents were dead. And the dark shadow with a red tint stared at him with glowing red evil eyes. "Ahh... I see they have a colt... But I'm full so you are just garbage to me...... Worthless... I think I'll just leave you out in the cold to freeze and slowly die!! HAHAHA!!" the evil creature spoke with a psychotic tone to his voice. And then he grabbed the baby pegasus by the tail and threw him violently into a cardboard box. The dark red shroud of evil had brought him outside and threw the box onto the freezing ground into the snow, the wind howled violently and snow crystals pelted the box almost like they were trying to break through the cardboard box. "Worthless creature! Here have this book for entertainment, maggot!"

Then again, take my attempt at a more realistic portrayal of the characters with a grain of salt. I'm still an amateur writer after all, so whether or not the characters do actually act like more realistic versions of the characters from the show is up to you to judge. Then One day when Equestria was under attack, their small house was destroyed and their mother and father had to flee somewhere else. Worried that the family would not be able to afford to take care of both of the children with the bits they currently have, they came to a conclusion that they would separate the two twins. They also cast a spell onto both of the twins so that neither of them would remember that they even had a twin.
