We're in the present day, and Ava is working at Graceland as a custodian who helps clean up the place every day for the tours and also makes sure that the untouched areas of the house are spic and span. She is an Elvis fan, of course, for the past few years, and she wanted to one day work at Graceland. Wish granted. She didn't care if being a cleaning girl was her way in. When she's there, she has some unexplained experiences. Graceland, haunted? Well, she quickly finds out that it is indeed haunted, and by a couple of spirits, one of them being a certain someone who lived there until his death in 1977. This handsome spirit asks Ava to relay a message to his remaining living family. Will she be able to do it? Will the love of two spirit men and one live man get in the way of it?

Elvis is one of the most famous men in the world, and pretty much everyone loves him for his fame. He has always said that he wouldn't let the fame get to his head. Well, it does, very much so. The love of his fans is like a drug to him. He wants to do whatever he can to make them happy. And the women... they love being involved with a very famous man. Even his girlfriend Priscilla is his fan, maybe his biggest fan. Something needs to be done about all of this. In 1965, Elvis sees a very interesting young woman wearing all black and has black hair and heavy makeup. The young woman, whose name is Ignis, claims to be an enchantress. She shakes her head at Elvis and tells him that the fame has gone to his head, and people only love him because he's famous. If he can find someone who will love and accept him for him and not his fame, other than his family and friends, his fame will not be taken away from him permanently. The spell is put on him, and he has the whole summer--June 21st to September 21st--to find someone who loves him for him, and they have to tell him so, too. And a twist made by Ignis: he has to love and accept this person for who they are as well. Sam's father is the main groundskeeper for Graceland, Elvis's house. She's less than thrilled when her father asks her to work there. Her previous job treated her horribly, and others in general pick on her because she doesn't have a lot of fashion sense, and she's not much to look at. People had even called her "beast" at times and "outcast." She hates the idea of being around the famous and beautiful Elvis Presley. Maybe she will just steer clear of him the whole time she's there.

The Medium

20 parts Complete

Seventeen year-old spirit medium Emily Chambers has a problem. Actually, she has several. As if seeing dead people isn't a big enough social disadvantage, she also has to contend with an escaped demon and a handsome ghost with a secret past. And then there's the question of her parentage. Being born an entire year after her father's death (yes, a year) and without the pale skin of other respectable English ladies, Emily is as much a mystery as the dead boy assigned to her. Jacob Beaufort's spirit has been unable to crossover since his death several months ago. It might have something to do with the fact he was murdered. Or it might not. All he knows is, he has been assigned by the Otherworld's administrators to a girl named Emily. A girl who can see and touch him. A girl who released a shape-shifting demon into the mortal realm. Together they must send the demon back before it wreaks havoc on London. It should be a simple assignment, but they soon learn there's nothing simple when a live girl and a dead boy fall in love. THE MEDIUM is the first book in the Emily Chambers Spirit Medium trilogy. Yes, that's *trilogy* - meaning not everything will be wrapped up nicely at the end of The Medium. There are 2 more books after it, both of which are published. Check out my website for details.
