The year is 1839. Priests, other followers of the Lord, and vampire hunters are caught in a conflict with those infected with vampirism, a disease that corrupts the body and mind and changes a human into what is essentially a blood-sucking vampire. A heavily religious priest goes out late at night when he shouldn't and ends up becoming the victim of a very thirsty vampire. However, the vampire does not kill him. He infects the priest with vampirism through the only way it can be spread, injestion of the infected's blood. The priest finds himself caught in a conflict between his newfound vampiric urges and his remaining humanity and religious origins. Will he find a way to adjust to vampirism, perhaps even embrace it, or will he be unable to handle it and attempt to end himself?
