Kalena June Thorsten lived a picture perfect life.
Or so everyone thought.
To the public eye her and her family were the real dream. Her father worked a good job where he was liked. Her mother volunteered in everything she could get her hands on. Lena was a model child. Good grades, she never made too much of a fuss, and she spent most of her day reading or drawing. On the outside looking in it seemed like the Thorstens had it all. But behind closed doors her father was an abusive alcoholic that mostly took his frustrations out on his wife, careful enough not to leave any bruises anywhere noticeable.
