Kagami no Shinden or the Temple of Mirrors.

The cursed sword called Tsuki no Hansha, or the Reflection of the Moon, is buried beneath Kagami no Shinden. There is a pool of clear water within the inner sanctum of the temple where once a month on the full moon a staircase leading to the tomb of the legendary sword is opened. This is possible only when the moon reflects on the waters.

The monks of the temple enter the tomb every month to pay respects to the founder of the village and the creator of the legendary sword. It is said she did a ritual in the pool of water on the night of the full moon to seal the powers of the ocean within the blade.

Swordsmen from all over come to this island in hopes to harness the power of this sword but none have succeeded. Their souls devoured into the blade strengthening the glass-like katana, never to escape. Only the descendant of its creator can wield such a blade.

That descendant happens to be Lily, our female protagonist.
