Obi-Wan Kenobi is the great negotiator, even his ship took that name in the wars, but that is in the past, in days long gone. Petra is a child with no mouth to speak nor ears to hear, the last place she belongs is as a diplomat, and yet, when the Force speaks, the Jedi listen.
