"Father..." I had whispered. I peered through the cracks in between the crates and my father's bloodshot eyes met mine. The gunshot rang through the air, and pain surged through my ears. The waste was dripping down the crates. I choked back my tears but it wasn't because of what I'd seen. Father's lips were moving...yet... I couldn't hear a single word. Nia witnessed many deaths but couldn't hear a single one of their last words. Melody had been tossed around from foster home to foster home for most of her life time. Alex was raised in a perfect family, only to watch it collapse before his eyes. Wheeler ran away from his abusive home when he was 11 and is still trying to recover. These 4 teens have perfectly tragic stories. They all want to start over. The perfect solution? Start 9th grade at a new school and stay away from others. However, events unfold and not even their back stories can pull them out of the mess. As they help each other pull through and recover memories from their own pasts, the life they have always wanted become harder and harder to reach. First book! I'll try my best to be consistent with my updates. Please comment if you find mistakes and would like to give me tips.
