Two kingdoms have been at war for over a decade, and has changed hands multiple times, the ground has been soaked with blood, both sides have suffered heavy losses. Two warriors from opposite sides of that war are forced together due to unfortunate circumstances.
The war is coming to an end, a treaty is being signed and there are clauses under that treaty that lead to their meeting. Neither side of the war was evil, it was just war over land and resources which neither side won. Amongst the treaty, Hal Morose has requested an arranged marriage with Blaire Adelaide. Why? During the war Blaire killed his only son. War is war, there were losses on both sides, he is aware of that but he feels he is owed a "replacement". The kingdoms have agreed to this and many other terms to form the treaty.
The two have now lived together in a peaceful farmhouse for around month, neither has said a word. When will the silence be broken and when will the war return.

I look up into his dark blue eyes. My palms are sweaty; my mind is spiraling. I want to ask. I just don't know how. "Ask." he whispers breaking into my thoughts. I take a deep breath. One typical day I read a random book just to pass my time. 'Contract marriage with an attractive stranger? How does the legendary hero constantly appear when the helpless girl is in trouble? Is he waiting at the side for the precise moment to appear? And there are so many missing plots and elaborate descriptions. It's problematic to figure out from which era this book is because it's confusing. This is just so stupid,' I instantly thought before promptly shutting the book and placing it back. Seldom did I know, that night when I would go to sleep, I would wake up as the protagonist of that same book and it wasn't a dream. As the events of the story unfolds, I decided that I will not follow the plot. It's time to become a self-made women that works hard by herself. However I soon find out that perhaps I'm not the only one stuck in this book? And I don't know how the book ends so what will happen to me? Story about a girl who struggles to survive economically after losing her family and then ends up becoming the female lead of the book. She ends up falling in love with a guy who turns out to be trapped in the book as well. And they are not the only ones stuck in the book. Will they find a way to get out or stay trapped in the novel?
