This will include a lot of science, but the plot is entirely fiction. Some characters will be real.

Albert Hawking, son of prestigious physicist, Stephen Hawking, has just been kidnapped. Not knowing why, he is placed in what seems like a random assortment of tests with others. He is set forth onto a mission with others who he only presumes passed the "test".
