A tug on my ponytail stops me. "Not so fast, Princess."

I turn around with the world's most innocent expression. "Yes?"

The boy everyone fears is watching me with cold and hard eyes. "You owe me."

I nod. "You're right. I owe you." I unclasp my watch and press it into his hand. "This is the most valuable thing I have on me right now. Please take good care of it."

I hightail it out of there. I only look back once to see him staring at a $20 pink Hello Kitty watch with such confusion and bafflement that I would have burst out laughing if I wasn't busy running.
