WORDS OFTEN SHARED , YET NEVER READ

Words often shared ,yet never read

All foolish words come to rest unheard.
Never listened to or even at best read.
So, who even hears one word you ever said
They are lost like upon wings of bird in flight.
Escaping the claws of a hungry hawk on ungodly night
Where no moonlight can guide our way
Into some unknown tomorrow from forgotten yesterday
Clinging for dear life with promise never kept
While sleeping beside empty bed where we never met
Far from distance shore which keeps us apart still.
Not by choice or by the emptiness our sheer will might
Still keep us waiting until the day comes to pass.
Where long lost lovers meet once upon a time at last
And all those foolish words shared once again make sense.
Though at the time never listened to shared at expense.
