Drifting in the ocean for who knows how long, you are saved by a group of pirates. With your own story, you come aboard meeting this batch of oddballs and nursed back to health. Discomfort spreads because of your off behavior, it brings suspicion and distrust among few. However, a certain cook on board develop an interest in it's new recruit.
You, the reader, are Arissa. A beautiful woman with a set appearance. This is an x reader story with a descriptive look to add quality to the story.
(I do know the Bat Bat fruit exists already but the devil fruit used in this fanfiction is slightly different)

"I don't think I'll make it before you leave-" You look away, not bearing to face his piercing stare anymore. "I can wait-" he interrupts, letting go of your hand as quickly as he took it.
