A childhood car crash left Izuku Midoriya profoundly deaf, but the scars ran deeper than just his hearing. In junior high, he was ostracized and ridiculed for being different, learning quickly that silence was easier than standing out. Now at U.A. High, Izuku is determined to start fresh by hiding his deafness from everyone-even his closest friends.

But hiding comes at a cost. Suspicion grows as those around him notice the cracks in his facade, and the weight of keeping his secret threatens to overwhelm him. Izuku fears that revealing the truth will bring back the same rejection and cruelty he endured before.

For years, Katsuki forced himself not to smile, or laugh. All just cause of a small, simple reason. He didn't like the small dents that formed by the sides in his mouth. It's not that he had anything against people who had dimples, he just felt like it didn't suit him. They looked like weird little holes drilled into the two sides of his lips, that just didn't suit his serious looking face. Everything about his face had screamed "Don't fuck with me." With his father passing away in the crash, Izuku is raised through his teenage years by his mother, and he manages to get used to living with wheels. Although his disability keeps him from doing a few things, he still manages to live a decent life and make his way around with ease. However, his life changes when he accidentally runs into a person on the street, causing the tall man to spill his coffee. Izuku is the one to get splashed with the hot liquid, but still feels bad about the incident and offers to pay for the blond's coffee. The man is none other than Katsuki. Even though he's in a bit of a rush, on his way to work, he finds himself falling for a freckled guy in a wheelchair who was kind enough to buy him another drink.
