After the war with the Saviors, Rick Grimes posts Daryl Dixon at the Sanctuary as their leader since imprisoning Negan. Daryl is not thrilled about this new assignment but is willing to try to make it work for Rick's sake.
His first day on duty, Daryl meets one of Negan's "wives" to be, who was left behind, Hazel. Hazel was being abused and starved in one of the same cells that Daryl had while held captive in the Sanctuary. They discover they have a lot more in common than they realized. They begin taking a liking to one another, slowly falling in love.

TWD: Just Another Boy to Discover (Carl x Reader)
"Because I needed to put them out of their misery," you respond. His intense, bright, blue eyes. His sleek, long, brown hair. His smile that's hard to hate. You just can't get enough. When it started, you were independent, only Flare was there to accompany you. However, just like that, you join a group. Rick and his gang. It wasn't expected, but you can't leave. You couldn't leave. Carl is your bodyguard. He's been ordered to keep an eye on you. Ever. Since. Day. One. ... It all happened when you were raiding an abandoned, old shed. That's where you crossed paths with none other than Carl Grimes. His distinct features remain engraved into your brain and despite thinking that love makes one grow weak; you begin to develop feelings for him. Regardless of what others may think, you continue to pursue him. However, when the group encounters various challenges that test loyalty, trust and courage, you wonder if it's actually meant to be. ... "Carl," he stops and looks at you. "Get away from her." "Why?" Carl simply asks. "Come here," Rick tells him. Carl looks over at you, then Rick. He shakes his head no. "I didn't ask you, I'm telling you." Rick grits his teeth. Carl reluctantly obeys. You watch him as he leaves eyes never loosing contact with his. Rick shuts the door cautiously. As soon as you hear it shut, you stroll over to the door and press your ear against the thin wood. You could hear Rick's faint voice. "Carl. Keep watch over her," he whispers. "She's dangerous." "What do you mean? She's a kid. Just like me. What makes her any different?" Carl defends you. Your heart begins to thud. He's protecting you. Just like what any and every body guard should do. ... A touching fanfiction decorated with intricate detail, heart-racing action scenes and a painful yet deliciously sweet storyline. The only advice I give to you before reading is to prepare yourself both mentally and emotionally. For yours to read and cherish.Complete

TWD: Survival's Edge ➳ Daryl Dixon (discontinued/rarely posting)
"𝙃𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚. 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙖𝙮." = this is a partial slow burn = The world has fallen apart, leaving only the ruthless, and the desperate to fight for what's left. In a world overrun by the dead, survival isn't just about skill-it's about trust. Amara Hangings and her best friend, Henry have relied on each other to make it this far. Whenever they are captured by a group, they cross paths with a stuck-up, crossbow prick named Daryl Dixon. Henry sees danger in Daryl. Amara sees something else. As they fight through this new world, an uneasy trust begins to form. But in a world where attachments are a risk, letting someone in could be the most dangerous choice of all. For Daryl, survival has always been black and white-until Amara proves that sometimes, the gray areas are worth the risk. ------------ This roughly takes place in the beginning of TWD. I changed the plot a bit to fit in more Amara x Daryl and to make more of a new plot while keeping the basics of the TWD season 1 plot. In this Daryl is late 20's- early 30's. I tried to keep in the character of Daryl Dixon as shown in TWD and what they have said in interviews. Enjoy! I DID NOT MAKE THIS CONCEPT. THIS IS A FANFIC FOR THE WALKING DEAD Hey, sorry this is discontinued. My love for walking dead and just Norman Reedus/Daryl Dixon has burned out. I'm so sorry, I truly enjoyed this and who knows- I might come back for some more chapters but for right now I'm focusing on senior year <3 best ranks: #72 in Dystopian #74 in Gory
