After the war with the Saviors, Rick Grimes posts Daryl Dixon at the Sanctuary as their leader since imprisoning Negan. Daryl is not thrilled about this new assignment but is willing to try to make it work for Rick's sake.
His first day on duty, Daryl meets one of Negan's "wives" to be, who was left behind, Hazel. Hazel was being abused and starved in one of the same cells that Daryl had while held captive in the Sanctuary. They discover they have a lot more in common than they realized. They begin taking a liking to one another, slowly falling in love.
