In her youth, Princess Rhaenyra had two dear friends : Alicent Hightower and Cora Lannister. When Alicent married the King, Cora had to become the wife of Vaemond Velaryon. At Driftmark, she gave birth to her only daughter : Alannys Velaryon. Unfortunately, Cora did not make it after the birth and Alannys becomes the ward of the princess, growing up at the Red Keep and Dragonstone. With the mind and spirit of her birth mother, Alannys quickly becomes a true startegist and a fine lady.
When dragons begin to dance, she is forced to choose a side. However, her desires soon comes in contradiction with her political ambitions and soon, the Velaryon lioness does not know how to save the day.
