It's been just about enough time for Gemma to get through the Mikaelson brothers and Damon's heads without actually revealing herself.
She can't say whom she truly is, as, by the way Damon explained to her later, Elena was out to get justice for Jer, something she didn't want to see.
After all, an angry Elena isn't a pretty one.
Anyone who crosses paths with her can't help but think she looks just a tad but like a girl they knew, what was her name...
Oh yes! Gemma Gilbert. All vampires could sense she was human, and Gemma wasn't, so it couldn't possibly be her, yet why were they unsure?
With her spell soon running out and no powerful enough witch close, Gemma will have to play it safe.
