Madeline grew up in a wealthy family so she wasn't familiar with the customs of the people less fortunate. After meeting Thomas she wanted to know what life was like having just a penny to your name.

(I don't know how regularly I will be updating this story as it is just something that comes and goes from my mind. If it seems like it has been a while since I have added more chapters don't worry I will hopefully get back around to writing more.)
