So recently I watched Divergent and really liked the story line.
But one thing, I didn't really get what the 'faction less' people were and how they became like that???
So I decided to come up with my own version :D
I don't know if this is like copyright or something but oh well :D

What if humans lived alongside witches, vampires, fey, and werewolves? Yeah, they don't though. They're divided into Factiones (no, that isn't a typo, go away Grammarly) by a starburst mountain range that is actually new, relative to the rest of the geology. Then someone dies. Of course. Not original is it? I suppose there's a good reason it always starts with someone dying. Well, being murdered in this particular case. I know, also not very original. But please, bear with me. Basically, the people in power are insane and dangerous. (There are really too many clichés here, aren't there?) And our not-so-normal band of motley heroes have to stop these crazy people. I understand that this is more or less the same plot line as 17% (minimum) of all books on the planet, but seriously, if you want to have a 12-year-old (almost) burn down/melt half a castle, this is your book. Be patient though, because it might take you a bit to get there. Enjoy! 1st completed book!!!!!! (I haven't edited it yet though, so if it seems a little rough it's normal. I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts.
