A tale was once told by parents to young children at night to put them to sleep. It was said to explain why it rains and storms at night and every time you hear a thunder crack, it was another soul lost to the torments of the sea and signaled the end of a what would've been a long happy couple. The tale is quite sad actually but what good must always come to an end and is doomed to never last for eternity. Sit down in a chair or lay comfortably in a mess of pillows and blankets as a tell you a story of woe, love, and heart breaking tragedy. A story about a girl finding herself among the sea and a pirate captain who longed for something more that no treasure compared to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All right are reserved to me as the story content is original and completely made up by me myself and I. A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.
