El Oficial de policía Harry Potter, creía tener una vida perfecta. Una profesión, un buen sueldo, una casa, divorciado, con un hijo de diez años que lo visita los fines de semana y lo considera su héroe; amigos con los cuales reír y compartir, también una amiga con la cual puede reunirse fácilmente si de sexo es el asunto. 

Todo el control, se derrumba de sus manos cuando un extraño joven, denominado por él como "chiquillo", se cruza en su camino y lo persigue sin importarle horarios. Con más de cuarenta años, Harry, no tiene la paciencia para lidiar con el joven enamorado de la mitad de su edad, tampoco dispone del tiempo cuando su amiga anuncia estar embarazada. No está acostumbrado a no tener el control, no le gusta no tenerlo y no está dispuesto a soportarlo.
