Calypso knows death, and knows him well. Her family met him face-to-face when she was seven and since then she's lived on the high seas. Another thing that she knows well is her best friend, Kalo. She knows everything about him, including most of his shadowed past. She found him on the shoreline of her homeland half drowned and remembering only one thing; his own death. He became her best mate and then her best friend. But he notices something off about the girl he came to think of as his sister. The way his captain locks herself in her quarters for hours, the inhuman shrieks that emanate from her room at night, the odd keening noises the serpents make when she's near... Something is very wrong, and the man who met death wants to know why.

Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. Between 2004 and 2008 I wrote a series of "Tips for Writers" for Nocturnal Ooze magazine vaguely about what would happen in real life if you did the things they do in movies but mostly about the gross out. I've always loved them and so have taken them out of mothballs for a new audience here on wattpad. They're all here except for #13 which seems to have vanished. I've also left them mostly intact except for a few very dated references that have been updated. ((This is targeted to people 16+)) The smell of blood was overwhelming. The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth. The pain only got worse when he felt the killer tug harshly, pulling his flesh out... ----- A gang of delinquents becomes lost in a forest, pursued by a frightening masked figure. He hunts them down individually, resembling a stalking wolf, wielding a crude knife fashioned from animal bones. As they struggle to survive, the teens also grapple with the harsh environment that challenges them. Coming into the human world was definitely not my idea but I had no choice. I am the mermaid princess of the North American seas. The most powerful water monster had taken both my tail and my powers. In order to restore them and defeat him, I needed to find and gather the remaining 6 mermaid princess from each continent. We needed our tails and powers back in order to save the ocean from him but there is one main problem. If we tell a human we are a mermaid we immediately die and turn into water so we can't just go around and ask everybody if they were mermaids. The only times when humans can know that we are mermaids is if they find out themselves that we are mermaids. The seven mermaid princess must find each other by mermaid clues and looks. Can they join together in time to defeat the most powerful demon or will they all perish? Twisted in this story is romance and well you will find out.Complete

Seconds away from crashing her skull onto rocks when she felt her body being levitated. Peeling her eyes open, the water somehow caught her in the air, water can't do that. At least not on its own, all she was able to see was the whip of a tail. Little did she know that tail would lead to something she wasn't prepared for, a friendship she never asked for, and a delicious man she didn't expect with craving she isn't ready for. Though she is a vegetarian, she just couldn't resist his meat.
