Back story:
Two clans at war with each other. Blood, violence and torture. At this point, the safety of the people is insignificant to the rulers in charge. 
Two best friends, both from opposite families form an unbreakable bond. 
Novallie and Tauro were supposed to get married to keep the peace between the two families. That way, the land, food, water and Jade gems would belong to both kingdoms. 
The two kids refused and this stirred chaos throughout the whole kingdom. 
Now the soldiers are after them.
Why couldn't the adults sort out their problems themselves? Why did they need two 13 year old kids to do it for them?
Novallie and Tauro ran away from the violence. Little did they know, they would discover things about themselves that their parents never had the chance to tell them.
