'Before we leave, I was wondering something... I noticed that your social worker called you Will and I suppose I'm wondering which name you preferred?' Wilbur was surprised that he noticed such a small thing, but he supposed it accounted for the surprise that he had noticed earlier. 'Oh, I prefer Wilbur if that's okay sir. My social worker always forgot to call me Wilbur and I stopped correcting him a while back.' He replied, choosing to ignore the feeling of anxiety at the realisation that was the most he had talked throughout their meeting. 'Alright mate. Oh, and please call me Phil. Sir makes me sound older than I actually am.' OR A fluff to angst to fluff adoption AU where Wilbur Soot gets adopted into the SBI household just before his 18th birthday after years in the foster system. Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that. After all, can a story ever be that simple? Trigger warnings are at the top of each chapter. There aren't many but check them out anyway. She doesn't hate her life, but there is a distinct lack of color and meh that paints every experience. Nothingness is preferred to adversity though. That is until one night, everything's ruined by a surprise at her doorstep. Jump in on the wild ride where Micah discovers the meaning of caring not just for others, but also for herself. She didn't exactly has a sweet little mouth for no reason either, contradictory to her childish trait. She now worked in a tiny office due to an unfortunate 'small' event that causes a huge effect on her careers path. One day, she met this hot guy on a blind date and happens to meet him a few more times randomly here and there. ~~~ "Baby.. I can't believe it's you." I touched his biceps. Ouch, they were thicc. "I still couldn't get over you. Please, let me explain. It was a misunderstanding. It really was. Give me a chance." I pleaded emotionally. I know I'm a great actress but right now I only need one more thing. Get out tears, get the fucking out, please. "Excuse me?" His eyebrows quirked. "Oh, it must've been hard for you. It was too much. I know, I know it's still a traumatic event for you. But calm down, please, let me explain." He opened his mouth, and nah. Before he could utter any word, I proceeded with my monologue drama. "Okay, what about we talked about it at your place? Where we first kissed, spend the night, making love, all of our memories of love were held." Finally! There, slided my masterpiece, my crystal clear crocodile friggin tears. I drew back my hand. ~~~ Note: It's all about the progress. His trusty crew of valiant randos, Marley the tech-bro stoner spacebunny, Duffy the plump and sassy female mechanic, Roy the frigging fabulous Android, and also that other chick is there. Ride with the crew of the notorious Tast-E-Chill to a world of wonder that a lot of other space travelers have already been before, but probably not Lawg, so it's still exciting. with a crew of 3-5 and an IQ of also probably 3-5, The captain putters along to uncharted lands, where history, loot, drama, innuendos of the sexual verity, and various technicolor hoes shall surely be waiting, usually with some form of trap. Prepare yourself for shallow adventure, moderately offensive and overwhelmingly childish scenarios as the crew battle impossible odds, fierce enemies, lack of food and survival tape, and occasionally their own incompetence. Romance, Politics, Originality, this sucker has none of those, and it darn well knows it. raise the sails and grab the rails as a bunch of dipsh**s find themselves...IN SPACE. FREELANCER. BOOK ONE of the FREELANCER SERIES by JAJordan7221

Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. In the following books I have changed the name from Lajes to Freeport Seven. Sorry if it causes any confusion.
