When humanity comes crashing down due to humans ignoring climate change. A society starts trying to cage in remaining humans to "keep them safe". This society numbers their citizens and assigns them careers at birth. That is what they are destined to be and do with their lives. they can't say or think they want to do anything besides that.
It's up to a team of underground activists who see the societies flaws to rebel against them and inform the public. It won't be easy, it never has been.
Your name is Valley. Your society assigned career was a soldier, but you want to be a caregiver. If the society knew that you could be seriously injured, possibly even killed.
