Izuku Midoriya was a normal kid. He had friends, a quirk, and a loving mom and dad. It wasn't until his middle school decided to hold a "Quirk Day", where events where students could use their quirks, that it went wrong. Izuku was in a competition to see who could hit a far away target when it happened, he hit the target and hit excited, a little too excited and accidentally used his second most destructive power. He was quickly ostracized by everyone but his closest friends due to the damage and the fact he hurt a popular teacher. Izuku didn't mind, his friends were with him, but just a month later something worse happened. In the middle of the night someone broke into his family's apartment and slaughtered his parents, since he was already called a "Villain" it was assumed he did it, it was then that Izuku broke. He and his friends, Tsuyu Asui and Katsuki Bakugo left the next night, swearing to make the world feel the pain Izuku had felt.

A student with no self confidence or self esteem, a student who has asked himself if he deserved to live because of Bakugo.
