The divine and righteous queen, Kharé, must find a way to end the war against her worst enemy. Unfortunately, they share a past darker than the murky waters that divide them.

Her enemy is Deriçon Prycon of Prisare, her childhood best friend and ex- lover. Kan, her adviser, is engaged to a runaway princess, and a supposedly dead queen seeks her advice. 

Things are complicated to say the least.
