What elicits fear of what lies under ones bed at night, or the darkest depths of the closet when there is knowledge nothing is there? How does myth spread, tales of the dark and mysterious coming to light when it appears that there are none that live to tell the tale? What of the cases that go cold, with no reasonable explanation to their demise or disappearance? Had evidence gone undetected? Could there be no closure to explanation for such catastrophe?

Or perhaps, even those of the law believe there are mysteries that are better off as such. What the public does not know does not hurt them. Yet the truth of the matter remains: monsters exist, and no one is safe.

Yet there are those that try to eliminate such threats or at the very least lessen the pain of which they cause. They are called hunters, similar to that of those that seek out animals for sport, but of the supernatural nature, and of the survival of humanity. They are purposeful in their way of seeking out the cases of the inexplicable, determined to find out the real underlying causes of such devastation. They do their research and set about ending the matter in the quickest of ways, but even such investigations do not have lucky outcomes.

These are the sacrifices made in the way of a supernatural hunter.
