Ashlyn certainly wakes up to a surprise when all of her furniture is floating. Including the bed she just to happens to fall out of. After thinking about it for a few hours, Ash finally decides to look into the kingdoms magic history. This is when the idea that magic may just be for everyone pops into her head. Sadly, no one in Arella City knows about the magic history. So the only logical thing to do is sneak out of town to find the nearest person who can help her. With a book, a sword, two dogs, and determination to find answers, nothing can go wrong, right?

Not the case. Within the first fifteen minutes of her journey she nearly gets eaten by wolves, caught by bandits, and set on fire, and may need some help. That's where Raylene Clarke, Leo Vanbury, and Liana Durling come in. With a few extra sets of hands and knowledge, she might just finds the answers she needs, not that Ash needs a reason to oppose the monarchy. She might make a few more enemies than she already had, but who cares? And last but not least, Ash might find out who she is or what she's meant to be
