Lillian Hockley was a young girl held captaive by her cruel parents for many years before the war broke out. Many never knew Charles Hockley and Helen Hockley had a daughter until the war. Helen was pregnant at the time, and was ten weeks through. She was finally starting to ease from making Lillian stay in her tiny room for weeks on end, only being let out to use the loo. The reason they locked her away from the world for so long is because... You'll have to find out! 

When Lillian is evacuated, she finally feels safer with her new carer, Mr. James Williams. She finally isn't locked in a room, or beaten!
