Where Bluebirds Fly

My story is a "work in progress" about a young girl growing up in a small town in Alabama during the 1960's & 1970's. It is a memoir, but all the names of the people have been changed, including mine, along with some of the places. My life was chaotic and it was a dramatic time of change for our country at that time, especially in the south. The overall theme is about "hope". We are not in control of the cards we are dealt in life. . .we just have to play the hand we are dealt. This story is about a young girl trying to live her life within the southern culture, amidst the adversity she faces.
