Unpaid adventures

Let's say, perhaps you wake up in a world different from yours. A world with certain characters you seem to recognize. What would you do in that situation? Become a characters love interest? Defeat an evil villain harming the people? Go on a adventure? Well as told you are in that situation, however instead of doing any of that you became a unpaid intern doing WAYYY more work then you get paid for.
