Billy, The Hugger

Billy, a second-grade student at Vermillion Ship Academy, is so excited about the letter he received from Mr. Rice, a teaching assistant. Billy has a good grasp of sight words and advanced phonics reading skills; however, he needs assistance with multi-syllable words, graphemes, and vocabulary. He happens to be a gifted reader and does receive enrichment from Mrs. Creed, a third-grade teacher, and Mr. Rice at different times in the day. This is a rough draft in the making.
