What did one do with female offspring? Most royal births are sent to convents to be raised up as proper ladies to be married off to knights. But in a move to mock the gods, Emperor Aodh ordered all his daughters to be brought up like sons. He sent them all to the estates of his knight masters and commanded his knights to handle them as if they were male. His wives pleaded for mercy - no mother wanted such sorrow for her daughter. "If you can bear me a son, then I can spare your daughters," the emperor answered them. Not one wife could. This is the story of one of the princesses of Dolos and how she became a prince adored by an empire that lives only for the strong.

COMPLETED BOOK I was trained to be a weapon for the kingdom. I was forced into servitude to the King after my family was ripped from me. My new life was covered in the blood of my family...and now I had to protect the royal family who ordered my parents' death. They're all monsters, except for him...he was my charge and as much as I wanted to hate him, the prince was nothing like his vicious father. He was a warm light in my cold and dark world. I was supposed to be controlled, cold, calculating and deadly, but he made me crave freedom, warmth and all the things I thought died with my family. I no longer knew my path...but I knew it led to him. ****** Don't hesitate to let me know what you think of my book or if you see grammatical errors/plot holes! *16+ is recommended...sex is implied but not described (I came up with that little rhyme while I was brushing my teeth this morning!) and there are scenes of violence.
