Waves Over Weeds- Finnick Odair

Briony was a survivor over anything. For her entire life she was forced to forget her dreams and her desires in place for keeping her sister and herself alive. Her life was dull to say the least, but she much rather keep it that way than be forced into the broadcasted fight to the death that makes its return each year. Unfortunately, it seems Briony is always faced with the most brutal circumstances, and this is no difference. Forced into the limelight, as well as the arena at just 13, she was bound to be noticed by District 4's future victor.

Finnick Odair had been interested by Briony as soon as she had shown up on the reaping recap that year. Though she was quiet, frail, and his age, she had a captivating confidence about her that he could feel practically oozing through the screen. He would never admit it to his mother, who could already notice the young boys starstruck attitude to the District 11 tribute, but Finnick was rooting for the girl the entire games. Watching the games, Finnick would have never imagined he would be in the same position as her the following year. I suppose life isn't always what you imagine.

Like waves meeting green fields, an unnatural occurrence of nature, the duo came crashing together unexpectedly. Neither or them expected to be picked for a game of death at their young age, leaving those they love behind to be turned into an idolized murderer. Neither of them expected to be deemed desirable by the Capitols people, especially not after what they had done in the arena that continues to keep hold of their souls. It seems that Briony and Finnick's lives are meant to stay unexpected and unnatural, but what will happen when they seem to become each others constant.
