Rain.
The constant storm that had raged on and on long before Mara got here and had continued since. 
The never-ending rain that blocked out the sun.

It was lessening. 
Tapering off.
Shaking the foundations of the system of the above and below grounds.


 Mara, a 19 year old girl born into a world where the endless storm, the Tempest, never stopped and never showed the sun. Humans are struggling to survive in the harsh conditions, and the poor go to the  underground and the rich stay in large, concrete domes with a fake sun and a  life of luxury, and those living underground are forced to spend their lives taking care of those uptop.
But what happens when a beat up, abused looking boy by the name of calab from the top side shows up on Mara's underground doorstep?
