A true story based on  eyewitness account of a new york city police officer shot in the line of duty.   The officer's bullet proof vest prevented him to suffer life threatening injuries.   The investigation which followed is well documented with  a human touch coming from a rookie detective who apprehended the first of three perpetrators ( criminals ) at scene.
